Frequent visitors may have noticed changes to the user interface during the past 3 weeks.
This blog post aims to explain some visible and backend changes, which were effected during this period. If you're interested in backend operations or if you're new to wordpress technologies, you may find some useful information to extend your blog.
The major visible changes were in our approach towards social networks. We replaced our comments system with disqus to allow users with social profiles to post and retain a history of their posts, if they choose to do so. Next, we have improved the visibility of our facebook and twitter buttons and moved them to our site header.
Further, to complement this change, we have also fully automated the transmission of release updates to both aforementioned social networks and added features to enable our fans easily share favorite releases with friends. Loyal fans who have subscribed to these networks will receive quick updates through twitter, facebook or our new RSS feed(which also tells us about your subscription choices). Besides the these changes, we have also added polls(Claudia's request),
a chatbox and a slider to recommend internal topics and improve interactions with our fans.
On our backend, we have made several security improvements and switched to a user friendly editor for our staff.
I hope that you find these changes useful. Once again, we'd like to thank you all for your love and support!
Thanks! (0)
